Ok i lost my original rear cowl tail faring so i ordered a new one from this store. Before i made this purchase i bought a used oem one off of Ebay had a couple light scratches but looked solid. Well my first ride with it 77 miles on the highway at speeds i can't talk about on here. Anyway i got home and all that was left of it was the latching part , the metal bracket. It was still connected to the bike but the plastic was gone.
So i ordered this one from vipih.
Getting it , it looked fine but i was a little concerned about the same thing happening with this one so i used some JB plastic weld and put it on all the surface areas where the plastic to plastic connections are.
Ive made my 154 mile ride 77miles there and 77 back at triple-digit speeds. For the record my bike is a 06 gsxr 1000 with plenty of aftermarket goodies on it. It gets it!
Anyway it has held up fine so far. All intact.
The jb plastic weld was just a little insurance , probably just me being paranoid. But you need a clear head when you ride the way i do. Don't need to be worrying or thinking about anything else then focusing on your lines and surroundings. Im happy with the purchase!
For the price it seems really fair! It looks good too! I doubt anyone would think it a non oem part. I give it 4 stars but i really don't have much to complain about! I would feel fine recommending it to a friend. Stay safe and ride hard out there!
