There are two possible stator version of 2002-2012 V Strom 1000
Only for the stator version with an external diameter of 119mm, not for the stator version with an external diameter of 115mm.
Please check out your stator dimension before purchasing to avoid the wrong one.

Be careful with the gasket! I accidentally tore it and currently waiting for a new one. Otherwise, it looks like this should work.Update: got the gasket in place and the parts are all bolted back on. The battery is charging while the engine is on, so that solved my problem perfectly.
