It's finally here, the V915-A in the version with altitude hold mode and automatic takeoff and landing function. Helicopter flying just got easier and safer.
The model can be started automatically with a button on the transmitter, rises to a basic height of approx. 1-1.2 m and hovers there with inherent stability. The pilot can thus concentrate on the essential flight characteristics such as forwards/backwards and right/left. If the model drifts slightly, this can be corrected using the digital trimmers on the transmitter. Furthermore, the "ground effect" of a helicopter is faded out by the auto-start function, as it quickly climbs to its base height. The ground effect is caused by the rotors, which cause turbulence below the heli and cause the heli to drift forward to the left near the ground. It is therefore difficult to control the model at low altitude.
To land, simply press the takeoff/landing button on the front right of the transmitter again and the heli hovers gently to the ground and switches off the motor. The heli remains fully controllable even during the landing approach and the landing point can be controlled during the descent. However, the landing can also be performed manually - simply press the throttle stick down and hold it down until the model touches down and the engine switches off. Alternatively, manual launch and gyro calibration on the transmitter is also possible.
